Musical instruments

You can find musical instruments for loan at the main library magazine, newspaper and music section.
Musical instruments for loan:
- two full-size and one ¾ size La Mancha Romero nylon string guitars
- four Noir by Baton Rouge soprano ukuleles and one Baton Rouge V4-T tenor ukulele
- one VGS Manoa banjo ukulele
- three Maholo soprano ukuleles
- one traditional 5-string kantele
- two Nino 5-piece rhythm kits in a bag
- a set of bongo drums: Gon Bops
- a glockenspiel: Aileen
- a mandolin: VGS Model A-1 Select
- a keyboard: Casiotone CT-S100 and a keyboard stand: Soundking
- a cigar box guitar
- a fretless cigar box guitar
- a djembe set: Meinl Viva Rhythm 3-in-1
You can borrow musical instruments from the customer service desk at the magazines, newspapers and music section (1st floor). The instruments come with a carrier bag, a tuner (except for the kantele) and tuning instructions. The loan period is two weeks.
You cannot reserve or renew musical instrument loans online, but you can reserve or renew your loans by phone or at the customer service desk.
New: A recording studio in a briefcase for loan
You can now borrow a recording studio in a briefcase from the main library magazine, newspaper and music section, for recording music, podcasts and other audio material.
The loan period for the studio-in-a-briefcase is two weeks. Make your enquiries and reservations at the customer service desk at the magazines, newspapers and music section. You cannot borrow the studio-in-a-briefcase online.
The studio-in-a-briefcase must be returned to the customer service desk at the magazines, newspapers and music section.
The studio-in-a-briefcase includes:
- Zoom H6 hand recorder
- headphones
- a table stand
- a memory card
- a power supply / computer cable
