Facilities

• located in the main library basement
• room for up to 60 persons
• a separate entrance allows the use of the meeting room outside the library opening hours
• equipped with a computer, a projector, a document camera and wireless network
• an adjacent kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, a kettle and a microwave oven
• rent: 20,32 €/hour or 69,11 €/day. The price is subject to the applicable VAT (25,5%)
• the booker will receive the key from the ground floor customer service desk
• the booker is responsible for public order and for ensuring that no extra persons are allowed to enter the building
• at the end of the event, the booker restores the facility to its original condition, turns off the lights and returns the key to the customer service desk

You can listen to music or play the electrical piano in the music room on the upper floor of the main library. You can borrow the headphones for the piano at the music section service desk with your library card. You don’t need a library card to borrow headphones for listening to music. You’re welcome to the music room any time during the library opening hours.

You can play retro and console games with your friends in the game room on the upper floor of the main library. In the game room there are:

• Playstation 5 game console
• Nintendo Switch game console
• Mini retro game consoles
• Driving seat

The minimum age for using the game room is 12 years.

• Tutkijanhuone 1 (Group working space) is a working space meant for 2 to 6 persons

In the main library upper floor Tul ja tee multifunction room library customers are allowed to use

• the printer corner with a 3D printer, a vinyl cutter and a heat press
• the multimedia corner with a drawing board and software for photo and video editing
• microfilm scanner and sekä microfilm readers

• Customers are allowed to use the digitisation studio located in the main library upper floor to transfer VHS cassettes, c-cassettes, LP-records, photographs, slides and negatives to a digital format. An external floppy drive is also available for transferring the contents of old floppy disks to another format. 
• Use of the studio is free of charge

In the Itätuuli community center in Sampola there is a community space Salonki, which can be rented through the library (15 € / hour).

Meeting rooms 1 and 2

up to 10 persons/room

• the rooms are equipped with meeting tables and chairs and a wireless network
• use of rooms is free of charge, when the reservation starts during library opening hours (access through the main door)
• there is a charge for the use of rooms if there is an admission fee to the event or if the reservation starts outside library opening hours (access through a side door with an access card collected in advance)
• the booker must provide adequate invoicing information
• charges (incl. current VAT%): under 3h = 20 €, over 3h = 35 €

• room for up to 30 persons
• equipped with a projector, tables, chairs, a piano and wireless network

Exhibition space

• includes the Noormarkku-sali and the meeting rooms
• the duration of the exhibition 7, 14 or 28 days (including assembly and disassembly)
• equipped with hanging rails on some of the walls, three portable walls, tables and chairs
• the exhibition organiser is responsible for the assembly and disassembly of the exhibition (not the library)
• the exhibition is always the responsibility of the organiser, also in case the exhibition has not been disassembled within the agreed time and must be moved away by the library
• free of charge
