Online library
The Satakirjastot online library is at your service 24 hours a day. In the online library you can renew your loans, make reservations, borrow ebooks, learn about our new items and pay library fees.
Virtual library card
Instead of your physical library card you can use the virtual library card. You will find your virtual library card once you have logged in to online library. Show your card at the lending machine or the customer service desk.
Applying for a new library card
You can apply for the Satakirjastot library card electronically. The application form requires authentication with bank credentials or a mobile certificate. Once you have completed the application, you can collect the card from any Satakirjastot library the next weekday.
If you are not able to authenticate online, you can print out the Customer registration form and fill it in before visiting the library. This will speed up the card application process in the library.
Changing your PIN code
You will need a four-digit PIN code when using the library’s online services and/or lending machines and self-service libraries. You can obtain or change the PIN code via the online library link. The service requires authentication with bank credentials or a mobile certificate.
Reader suggestions
Are you looking for a certain item but we don’t have it in stock? You can leave a purchase request via the online library.
Interlibrary loan request
You can order items not available in Satakirjastot using the interlibrary loan service. You can use the Interlibrary loan request form to request items via the interlibrary loan service. The form requires you to log in the online library. The service is subject to a charge.

The library Facebook page is aimed at our customers and all those interested in following the events at Pori and Nakkila libraries.
On Facebook you will find the Satakirjastot reading challenge group, which is a reading challenge run by the library staff. In the group you can exchange book tips and discuss books with other reading enthusiasts.
For film lovers, there is the Satakirjastot movie challenge Facebook group, where you can participate and get tips for the library’s film challenge.
In the Read with children group we share topical tips on children’s literature.

“Ask the librarian” service
Ask the librarian is a joint information service by Finnish libraries, with almost 90 libraries participating. Qualified librarians are professionals in information search. A librarian will tell you what your favourite fairy tale book was called, information on any topic, reading tips, the name of the poem you read as a child. We will answer your question in three days. Use the form to send us your question and we will send the answer in your email address.
