Game room
The game room is equipped with Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5 game consoles and a selection of retro game consoles. You can reserve the room for up to four hours and for up to four players at a time.
Using and making reservations
The game room is located in the main library, at the back of the magazine, newspaper and music section on the upper floor. Make a reservation for the game room online or at the main library magazine, newspaper and music section customer service. The game room is open during library opening hours from 10:00.
Borrowing the games
You will get the games and game controllers from the magazine, newspaper and music section customer service. You choose one game at a time to take in the game room. You are allowed to change the game as many times as you like during your reservation. Take a look at the selection of the Game room games at Satakirjastot Online Library.
Play alone or together
You can come and play alone or with up to three other players. Each player will borrow the game controller on their own library card. The library card is a deposit for the game controller during the reservation. Only the players who have borrowed a game controller are allowed in the space.
Age limits
The age limit for the game room is 12 years. NB. To make an online reservation you must be over 13. A 12-year-old may make a reservation at the library customer service.All players in the game room must respect the age limits of the games. Please be prepared to prove your identity.
