Sports equipment

In the main library lobby you can find the Liikuttamo, where sports and camping equipment are available for loan.

Liikuttamo also arranges instructional events where you can participate in physical exercise sessions.

The selection of equipment for loan includes Nordic walking sticks, footballs, basketballs, kettlebells, velcro weights, Selätin back therapy boards, balance boards, disc golf discs, therapy rollers and pedometers, and later in the spring some Mölkky games.

A selection of sports equipment is also available for loan in Noormarkku library.

The equipment available varies according to season. The loan period is two weeks. Check the online library for availability.

Fat bikes for loan

You can borrow fat bikes through Lavia library. You can borrow the bike with your library card at the library and pick it up at Ekopaja (Keskustantie 4). The loan period for fatbikes is seven days.

Terms and conditions for borrowing sports equipment

Borrowing:

You need a valid library card in order to borrow sports equipment. The library card is free of charge. The loan period for sports equipment is two weeks. The loan period ends when the library closes on the due date. You can only return sports equipment to customer service, that is, you cannot return them to return drop boxes or return machines. Borrowing is free of charge. You cannot reserve or renew borrowed sports equipment. Sports equipment are borrowed from the customer service desk and returned to the same library they were borrowed from. The library does not transfer sports equipment from one library to another.

Late fees:

A late fee and a possible processing fee is charged on overdue loans according to the library terms and conditions. The borrower must replace damaged or lost equipment. The primary option is to replace the damaged or lost piece of equipment with a similar one. The secondary option is for the borrower to pay the library the price of a similar or equivalent piece of equipment.

Using the sports equipment:

The use and, if necessary, cleaning of the equipment is the customer’s responsibility. Instructions for use come with the equipment.
